Slim Phones Are Shaping Up to Be the Trend in 2025: ZTE Unveils Nubia Air
ZTE has officially announced the Nubia Air, its latest addition to the rapidly growing market of ultra-slim smartphones. With a strikingly thin profile, the Nubia Air measures just 6.7mm at its thickest point and an impressive 5.9mm on its midframe, making it one of the slimmest devices of 2025. Although the Nubia Air features a sleek form factor, it still weighs only 172 grams. Moreover, it maintains a robust IP68/IP69K rating, therefore offering protection against dust, water immersion, and even pressurized hot water jets.

On the front, the Nubia Air boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a crisp 1,224 × 2,720px resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and an incredible 4,500 nits peak brightness. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, ensuring durability against scratches and accidental drops. A 20MP selfie camera is neatly placed within a punch-hole cutout, and an in-display fingerprint scanner sits at the bottom for seamless authentication.
Turning to the rear, the Nubia Air houses a 50MP primary camera, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor and a 0.08MP auxiliary lens, designed to enhance portrait and close-up shots.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Unisoc T8300 chipset, and is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, ensuring efficient performance for everyday tasks. A 5,000mAh battery fuels the device, supported by 33W fast charging, ensuring all-day usage with quick top-ups when needed.
The Nubia Air launches in three stylish finishes: Titanium Black, Streamer Black, and Titanium Desert. Pricing starts at €250, with the first rollout happening in Europe, followed by expansions into Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
With its ultra-slim profile, durable build, and competitive pricing, the Nubia Air positions itself as one of the most attractive mid-range smartphones of 2025.
